Honey & Rowan - Doctor Appointment

Honey got all her papers written for this term and gave her presentation. She's just waiting on classes to finish and final exams.

Melody decided to play in the trash while mom and dad were distracted.

Oh, she found something in there.

Honey gave Cebolla a call. She knew her and Kristen were expecting and though she was so excited for them, she couldn't help but feel a tiny bit jealous too. She was ashamed at herself for feeling that way. She knew her and Kristen were probably very busy, but she really needed to ask her for some advice.

Cebolla was very encouraging and told Honey that sometimes these things just take time, but it couldn't hurt to go to the doctor and get an ultrasound done to make sure everything was okay. So, Honey made an appointment for after work that day.

Honey worked from home and took care of Melody. Rowan had to work that day too, and after he left for work Honey finished what work she had left and then brought Melody with her to her appointment.

When Rowan came home from work Melody was tucked in bed and he found Honey crying in his office.

Rowan: Honey, what happened? Did the appointment not go well?

She just cried and let him hold her.

Honey: The scan showed that my uterus has a lot of scar tissue from the first birth. The doctor said that it would be very unlikely for me to get pregnant again.

Rowan: How unlikely?

Honey: She said it's not impossible, but the chances are very low.

Rowan: Do you want to keep trying?

Honey: I don't know if I can bear it...

She left to go check on Melody and Rowan watched her go, feeling totally helpless.

Honey rocked Melody as she slept, realizing how incredibly lucky she was to have her.

She wondered if she'd ever get to rock another baby and the thought made her really sad. She also held Melody just a little bit tighter; she would cherish all of these moments while she still could.

Later she talked to her plants about the idea she had. She would study apothecary to find something that could heal her; and if that didn't work, surely there was some fairy magic that could help, right? The plants didn't talk back, but she felt slightly more hopeful.
