Honey & Rowan - Milestones

The last term had begun and Honey and Rowan were working harder than ever with homework, presentations, and term papers - not to mention dogs to walk and a baby to take care of. Melody loved to be held and thankfully Honey was able to put together her presentation while holding her. Truffle lazed around outside and watched. 

Honey had her secret society work as well - tending the sprites' garden and offering up metals and crystals. The sprites' garden also offered a nice place to catch up on homework while Rowan was at home with Melody.

And Rowan had his guest lecture; Honey sat in the back as to not be too much of a distraction, but she still caught him stealing glances from time to time.

He did really well, and many of the students were eager to ask questions.

Honey stuck around after all the students filed out of the room.

Back at home they ordered a pizza. While they were waiting, Rowan got a picture of Melody sitting up for the first time!

Rowan was just over the moon.

 

Melody wasn't as happy about the fact that now she was sitting up, she'd have to be put down.

But soon she was back to her babbling, happy self.

Rowan: After today, I was thinking that I'd really like to become a professor. I can teach and write.

As Rowan was saying this, Melody said her first word, "Dada." 

Honey was thrilled. 

Honey: That's a great idea! And I think Melody agrees!

Auntie Cebolla came over to visit after dinner, unlocking yet another milestone for Melody.

She doesn't really remember all the visitors she had when she was a newborn.

Then she started to cry.

Don't worry, Cebolla's a doctor; she knew exactly what to do.

Awwww.

Nighty night, Melody.

Okay, Cebolla, you're hired.

Then she stuck around and helped Rowan and Honey with homework (at least, that's what it looks like she's doing).
